Well, what a day. This is definitely the largest A Class fleet ever assembled south of Sydney and especially at our humble country club.

\images\wollongongThe sailing was fun and fair, with all enjoying great comradeship and racing no matter what the ultimate outcome.

The conditions started slow in the morning and slowly clocked their way around the dial, keeping the PRO and his assistants on their toes.

Lunch at Wollongong is always a looked for affair and was up to its usual standard, with hot dogs, salads and Big Al’s awesome slices again.

Rather than describe the day in great detail, it may be best to let the images tell the story this time.

A huge thanks to Big Al for his usual skills in organising events along with his very enthusiastic helpers Wayne and Laurie. Dennis Yarrow did another great job as PRO and also thanks to Warren Norrie, the current president, for overseeing the day and course setting.

Brian Dill, after a rather uncertain start and some early damage had a brilliant afternoon and picked up first place with Warren and Selwyn chasing in a close second and third place.
