The Australian Radio Yachting Association, together with its affiliated state associations and host clubs, is pleased to confirm the national championship calendar for 2027, with Australian Championship regattas scheduled across seven classes and multiple states around Australia.
The 2027 calendar will see competitors travel to Queensland, South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania for national championship competition across the International One Metre, RC Laser, DF65, DF95, International A Class, International Marblehead and International Ten Rater classes.
The championship schedule highlights the continued strength of radio sailing throughout Australia, with clubs and organising authorities continuing to deliver high-quality national events across a broad range of classes and locations.
Queensland will host the 2027 International One Metre Australian Championship at Eagleby in February, before attention turns to South Australia for the International A Class Championship at West Lakes in March.
Victoria will host back-to-back International Ten Rater and International Marblehead Australian Championships at Yarrawonga during March, bringing two of radio sailing’s premier development classes together at one venue.
Tasmania’s renowned Montrose Bay venue will again host the DF65 and DF95 Australian Championships during April, with both classes continuing to experience strong growth and highly competitive national fleets. The back-to-back championships are expected to attract competitors from across the country to one of Australia’s most loved radio sailing venues.
The RC Laser Australian Championship will conclude the current schedule with competitors heading to Portland Yacht Club in Victoria from 30 April to 02 May 2027, further highlighting the diversity of classes and venues featured throughout the national calendar.
