With the opening of the borders there has been keen interest for Australian sailors to travel internationally to radio sailing events and in particular the upcoming World Championship in Croatia but also those seeking something a little closer, NZ has finally opened to Australian visitors.
Already a number of sailors have expressed interest in representing Australia at the IOM World Championship in Croatia from 27 October to 04 November 2022 including our top four ranked sailors after the completion of the recent Australian Championship. The last world championship in Brazil saw a huge representation from AUS and it appears the enthusiasm to compete at the top level of IOM sailing prevails, even after the restrictions of COVID. For most, Brazil was the first experience at a World Championship event and those who went have returned with great memories of a fantastic event both on and off the water.
Expressions of interest are still open and must be received by the ARYA Secretary no later than 1700h on 22 May, 2022. To obtain an expression of interest form please email the Secretary (secretary@arya.asn.au).
