Koonawarra Bay Sailing Club on Lake Illawarra hosted Round 2 of the NSW 10Rater Grand Prix Series on Saturday 17 April.
14 skippers from around NSW and the ACT participated in the event which was closely fought out, however all races were conducted with respect and good humor.
Steve Sedgmen ended up narrowly prevailing in his brand new Sanga which showed great light weather speed. Gordon Maguire had a fantastic event in his recently purchased Blade 5 showing his light weather prowess. Owen Jarvis followed closely behind in 3rd place in his always fast Trance.
The Koonawarra Bay Sailing Club team did a terrific job in race organization with Jon Pinkerton’s on water expertise ensuring good starting lines and courses and keeping the racing going despite the testing conditions. KBSC showed great hospitality to all the visiting 10R sailors who appreciated the efforts of all the club helpers to put on such a well-run event.
